Women's medal round lineup set!

Medal matches at the Swatch Major Series in Stavanger, Norway kick off Saturday at 16:00 CET

The women's gold medal match at the Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series stop in Stavanger, Norway will be an all-Brazil battle, as Agatha Bednarczuk and Barbara Seixas face the onslaught of their countrywomen Juliana Silva and Maria Antonelli. For both teams, it's their first final-round appearance in the new Swatch Major Series.

Semi Final action kicked off at midday, when Agatha and Barbara Seixas, the top seeds, faced Germany's Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst. The crowd was electrified as the teams traded potential set points before the Brazilians clinched the first set 24-22. Then Agatha and Barbara Seixas took charge, claiming the second set with a five-point advantage and advancing to the gold medal round.

Juliana and Maria Antonelli had a more extensive Semi Final showdown in their bout with number two seeds Marleen van Iersel and Madelein Meppelink of the Netherlands. The Brazilians needed three sets and a whopping 68 minutes to vanquish the European champions.
The Bronze Medal match at 16:00 CET will pit Ludwig and Walkenhorst against Van Iersel and Meppelink, with a result that will produce the first-ever Swatch Major Series medal for a women's team from Europe. Afterward, the gold medal contenders will take over Center Court to clash at 17:30.
