These top woman teams are competing in Stavanger!
After a sunny start here with qualifications in Stavanger its time to get down to business. A day of hard work is upon us, as the 32 women's teams in the Main Draw battle it out. Here are some of the teams to look out for.
AGATHA / SEIXAS (BRA)
The three-time youth World Champion Bárbara Seixas de Freitas was named FIVB top Rookie of the year in 2012. Together with the incredible Agatha Bednarczuk from Curitiba, the team have reached the podium in so many FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour tournaments that the intimidating Brazilian duo have claimed the top seed position and will undoubtedly give the Stavanger audience some spectacular volleyball.

MEPPELINK/VAN LERSEL (NED)
Look out for these two hungry Dutch girls! After an amazing season Madelein Meppelink and Marleen Van Iersel of The Netherlands have the second seed. The team are reining European Champions and a string of pearls as to results to boast in their wake. They had an unfortunate early exit in Porec, so now the two volleyball stars are all the more ready for going dutch on anyone trying to put them down here in Stavanger!
MENEGATTI/ORSI TOTH (ITA)
Marta Menegatti and Viktoria Orsi Toth are two hard-hitting Italians that can make quite a stir! After an outstanding season with a number of top results, FIVB Most Improved Player 2011 Menegatti and her extraordinary partner Orsi Toth from Santeramo in Colle are more than ready for making a serious dent in the Stavanger Major Main Draw.

JULIANA / ANTONELLI (BRA)
Although seeded four, Juliana Felisberta and Maria Antonelli are the reigning World Tour champions. Don’t let these two out of your sight. Juliana Felisberta; Best Blocker 2009, 2010, Best Offensive Player 2006, 2010, 2012, Most Outstanding Player 2009, 2010, 2011, Sportsperson 2011, 2014. Together with Maria Antonelli, the fireball from Resende, they are team of the year 2014. What about this year?
